Hut-to-hut hiking in the mountains. Plan a multi-day trek between huts, or look around the map first.
Pick one. You can choose the days and difficulty afterwards.
"Hardest trail" is the toughest grade you're happy to walk. A trek then avoids anything harder.

Making the mountains easier for everyone to get into.
The mountains belong to everyone, and a night in a mountain hut is one of the best ways to experience them. But getting there isn't simple. Huts are spread across hundreds of valleys, trails range from gentle paths to exposed scrambles, and putting together a multi-day route usually means hours with maps, guidebooks and spreadsheets.
Hut2Hut does that part for you. Paint the area you'd like to explore, say how many days you have and how hard you want it to be, and it suggests routes from hut to hut, with distances, climbs and walking times. Whether it's your first overnight in the Alps or your fiftieth, the idea is the same: less time planning, more time out there.
It's also meant to show you what's out there. The photos on the front page are real pictures of real people out on real trails, and we want to build a community around getting into the mountains and sharing what's to be found there.
A free, independent project, built by a community of friends, showcasing their love of the mountains, and making what they found out there available to you.

Huts, trails and places come from OpenStreetMap, which volunteers keep up to date. If a hut is wrong or missing, you can fix it there and it will show up here in time. Full map credits are under Credits in the side panel.
Routes here are suggestions, not guarantees. Always check the weather, trail conditions, opening dates and bookings with the huts before you set out, and carry a proper map.
